ABOUT US
Carol Nicholson-Kriegel is an experienced marketing an advertising executive. For over 25 years Carol has worked in the marketing of consumers goods, business to business services and non-profits. She is also degreed as a Registered Nurse. Carol opened her first Agency in 1984, Communications Network grew quickly and was purchased by Potter and Mack – a large agency specializing in consumer goods, in 1986.
Carol and her team did national programs for Hinoichi Tofu, which won an American Heart Association award. She opened her next firm in 1990, and serviced clients such as American Express, New York Life and many Fortune 100 clients.
International Marketing Company has also developed a focus on Healthcare, Medical Devices and Natural Products, as well as Cause Marketing. Carol speaks at professional meetings and is gifted presenter. She and her team have also developed a Media Division which has produced programming for FOX TV, PBS, and Pay Per View specials. Carol maintains residences in both Los Angeles and Montana.

OUR TEAM
Anika Hanisch, Senior Copywriter
Anika Hanisch has written for the natural products industry for five years and, prior to that, worked as a communications and media coordinator for a variety of small businesses and non-profits for eight years. At IMC, she focuses on ghostwriting for practitioners who wish to educate industry professionals and the public regarding new developments in natural health.
Anika also crafts press releases for product manufacturers and oversees a team of writers and editors who create comprehensive marketing text for IMC's clients. To prevent writer's block and to stay in shape, after hours Hanisch enjoys several martial arts and ballroom dancing.

Kathleen Karlsen, Project Manager and Web Content Creator
Kathleen's extensive experience with event management serves her well in her capacity as a project and account manager for IMC. Kathleen understands the complexity of projects and the need for clear and timely communication. Kathleen's organizational skills help keep things running smoothly and according to planned timelines.
Kathleen's specialties include website usability and search engine optimization. Kathleen uses her skills in writing and research to assist clients in achieving their goals for online marketing. Kathleen has a bachelor's degree in studio art, a master's degree in humanities and a year of doctoral-level training in adult and higher education. She is also a professional artist and a creative arts educator.
Andrew Karlsen, Video Producer and Web Designer
Andrew has produced and edited documentaries for PBS and the National Park Service, co-written programs for the Discovery Channel and produced numerous promotional and instructional pieces for corporate clients. Andrew's extensive background in video production and his skills in graphic design are the perfect combination for working in an online environment. Andrew's web design ability is an increasingly important part of what we do at IMC. Andrew has a BA degree in film and video from Montana State University and professional training in editing and motion graphics from Video Symphony in Los Angeles, CA.
Chris Kelley, Senior Publicist
Chris has worked with IMC for more than fifteen years. His success in high-end placements include: Inside Edition, The Montel Williams Show, ESPN’s Sports Center, The 700 Club, Oprah and Friends, NPR’s All Things Considered, The Mancow Show, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times and USA Today.
He has placed clients in countless local and regional media, including local papers, radio shows and affiliates of all the alphabet networks (CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX).And he has worked with clients to successfully place articles in such body mind spirit publications as Whole Life Journal, Spirit of Change, Creations, Horizons, Spa Life, to name a few.
Alfredo Quintero, Global Account Development
Alfredo’s area of expertise is marketing and advertising for the Latino market. Alfredo has international work experience that that gives him a foundation for analyzing the best strategies for outside companies entering the US market. Alfredo is IMC’s official translator and representative for Central and South American countries. Alfredo graduated in Colombia from Universidad Politecnico Grancolombiano with a degree in Marketing and Advertising. He also has graphic design experience.
Samuel J Haivala, Account Executive
Samuel's experience in NCAA athletics and coaching have built a strong background of leadership and planning. He understands the communication required to direct a team and produce results. At IMC, this translates to "quarterbacking" the copywriting, designing, and advertising phases to bring products to market. He works as a direct liaison between the clients and the rest of the IMC team, and does preliminary design brainstorming and copywriting. Samuel has bachelor degrees in Business Marketing and Sports Management from Montana State University, and currently works out of the Los Angeles Office.
James Bennett, Graphic Designer
James Bennett has been recognized with over twenty national and state awards for design excellence. He started his professional career in the commercial printing industry at the age of fifteen and in 1992 began his career in design. While living in the Los Angeles area, before moving to Montana, he also taught night school at the prestigious Art Center College of Design.
Excellence and versatility are two attributes James has learned by working with hundreds of clients. One needs to be able to produce the wide variety of design needs for each company—from identity development to all the essential marketing materials. There is no cookie cutter solution for developing the creative design for each company. Plus, each company needs to be visually unique in the marketplace. With each project we strive to visually position the client ahead of their competitors.
James enjoys hiking in the mountains, biking and most of all spending time with his family—his wife Jean (who manages the design studio) and sons John and Matt. His daughter Abby lives in California and works for the major league soccer team, the L.A. Galaxy.
Elizabeth Marum, Account Executive
Elizabeth has twenty-five years of experience in marketing and business development. She is an accomplished writer of marketing communications and technical, scientific material for general audiences. She is also a great people person, a skill that has allowed her to successfully advocate for companies and causes to raise awareness and manage fundraising campaigns. She is relentless in her pursuit of a goal, but does so with a soft touch.Elizabeth enjoys the challenge of utilizing wise management and cost-effective solutions in advertising, public relations and media relations to position companies on tight budgets to look even better than heavily-funded competitors.
